Jewelers Resource Center to Launch

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Amid fanfare and fun, the Jewelers Resource Center, a legacy gift to the industry from The Plumb Club will launch in March. The month-long celebration will kick off on Wednesday March 2, 2022 with an event in the virtual auditorium followed by 3 more weeks of educational presentations, fun scavenger hunts and a plethora of prizes.

The Jewelers Resource Center, part of the revolutionary TPC-365 platform is a virtual 3D environment that is immersive, easily navigated, discoverable and chock-full of information. It contains a comprehensive and searchable database of jewelry-industry knowledge, available at the click of a mouse and open 365 days a year. Further, the visitor can choose the learning style that works best for them with modules offered in readable form, or auditory and visual formats. Aside from education, the Jewelers Resource Center also allows visitors to stay up-to-date with industry headlines, see daily precious metals pricing, source qualified jewelry serviced providers or view an expansive library of jewelry tables, charts, articles and links to help with daily business needs. The platform is destined to become the go-to industry resource for all things jewelry related.

The inaugural event, on March 2 at 2pm eastern time, will treat visitors to a tour of the Jewelers Resource Center followed by an educational presentation entitled, “Is a Tsunami Coming: The Diamond Dilemma” providing experienced insight into one of the most important categories at retail – diamonds and diamond jewelry. The renowned panelists will include Elliot Tannenbaum of Leo Schachter, Dave Meleski of The Richline Group (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) and Sue Rechner of WD Lab Grown Diamonds. The discussion will speak about industry issues, as well as external issues that spur volatility and impact diamond pricing. Additionally, they will speak on various diamond niche markets and the wave of change we are seeing with the emergence of lab grown diamonds, and give thoughts on how a retailer can remain competitive and still maintain margin.

Following the presentation retail attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in a fun scavenger hunt and potentially receive multiple prizes that range from Dom Perignon champagne and Godiva chocolate to facilitated in store sales training and an expert website analysis and report.
