Jewelry Store Employee Accused of Stealing $60,000 in Merchandise

A West Palm Beach, FL, woman is accused of taking $60,000 worth of jewelry from a store where she worked.

Michelle Dawn Chapman, 35, has been charged with taking rings and charms from a Helen Ficalora store in Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Post reports.

She allegedly pawned some of the pieces and listed some on eBay and Poshmark.

Police say that when Chapman pawned the jewelry, she provided fingerprints and used her own ID.

She faces 10 counts in all, including charges of grand theft, dealing in stolen property, false verification of ownership, and possession of narcotics.

She’s currently free on bond.
