Kate Moss Looks Radiant in Antique and Vintage Jewelry at King’s Trust Global Gala 2024

SUPERMODEL style setter Kate Moss seems to grow better with age — her beauty defying time. Such is also the case for the antique and vintage jewelry she wore to the King’s Trust Global Gala 2024 in New York. The pieces were as desirable as in the time they were crafted. And let’s not leave out the vintage Alexander McQueen dress that looked as good as when it was first designed.

I love the fact that she wore a mix of different time periods and jewels, which would be the type I’d want to wear if I had a gala to attend. The Georgian pendant earrings in silver over gold with mine cut diamonds are in excellent authentic condition. And the Art Deco pieces — a diamond and platinum bracelet, circa 1935, and diamond set platinum necklace by Mouboussin, circa 1928 — demonstrated elegance and rarity that would add character and just the right amount of sparkle to any color or style of gown.

It was truly a night that shone with diamonds. These are classic styles — pendant earrings, wide bracelets and diamond chokers that were reinvigorated at various times in history with different cuts of diamonds and in the distinctive style of the times in which they were made. Full disclosure: My two favorite periods for diamond jewelry are Georgian and Art Deco.

La Vieille Russie Georgian era diamond drop earrings with old mine cut diamond articulated swing-framed drop and fringe pendant earrings. English, late 18th century.

La Vieille Russie Art Deco diamond and platinum bracelet with cushion and baguette-cut diamonds, English, circa 1935.
