(PRESS RELEASE) Columbus, OH — David Peters, a well-known jewelry industry educator, consultant and training development specialist has joined the team at New Horizons Events as Education Manager. Peters has more than 16 years of experience in the Retail Jewelry Industry, holds a Master of Science in education administration and educational technology from Pepperdine University, and was an instructor at the Gemological Institute of America for seven years.
Peters was formerly the Director of Education and Industry Relations for Jewelers of America, Inc. (JA) where his areas of responsibility included member relations, member benefit development and jewelry trade relations. Additionally, he worked on the design and delivery of education and educational services to more than 10,000 Jewelers of America member stores.
“David brings a huge amount of expertise to the team with his many years of teaching, developing, and training in the jewelry industry.” said New Horizons president and show director, Jim Reed. “We are both excited to get to work streamlining and enhancing our marketing and sales workshops that will be held at the show in August.” New Horizons Jewelry show is holding two different, full-day intensive workshops that will incorporate opportunities to learn in interactive segments throughout the day and apply what is taught during the workshops.
