(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Accutron’s latest Legacy Collection celebrates some of the most noteworthy designs from the brand’s past. Combining the timeless appeal of iconic design with the technical excellence of Swiss watchmaking, the Legacy Collection is reimagined for today’s wearer. Comprised of the revival of some of the most memorable 60’s and 70’s styles, Accutron is to bring back the original 412 watch from 1969.
Inspired by the design-centric, fashion-forward attitudes of that time, the 412 watch is directly influenced by the Ivy League style of dress that began to emerge in the late 50’s through the 60’s. Later known as “preppy fashion,” this movement served as an important need for the brand to design the perfect accessory to accompany this style.
A historically significant timepiece for the brand, as it is the original case design for Accutron’s iconic Spaceview, the 412 is a tried-and-true classic featuring a 34mm gold-tone stainless steel round case with the same unique bull horn lugs and crown placement at 4 o’clock. The 3-hand silver white dial boasts gold-tone applied and faceted hour markers and a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating making for a refined and elegant look. Water resistant to 30M, the 412 is powered by Accutron’s Swiss Made 26-jewel movement to guarantee quality and reliability and is offered on a black croco-embossed leather strap with double-press deployant closure. The 412 watch retails for $1,450 and like all other models in the Legacy Collection, is limited to 600 pieces.
