Amazon: We Pay Our Female Workers the Same as Men

Amazon recently conducted a survey that shows the online retailer pays its female and male employees equally, The Puget Sound Business Journal reports. The survey, according to the article, came after a shareholder pushed the company to explain its strategy for gender pay equity. A statement from Amazon said it “reviewed its entire U.S. staff, including warehouse workers,” with Reuters determining that the “results show that women’s compensation in 2015 was 99.9 percent of men’s in equivalent jobs.”
