Bering Announces Earth Day Plans

It will close its online shop and social channels for 24 hours.

Bering announced that it will temporarily close its online shop and social channels in honor of Earth Day, April 22.

The company stated:

Sunday April 22nd is international Earth Day and like every year, over 175 countries will consider the consequences of consumer behavior and raise awareness for the natural environment.

For this reason we, BERING, have decided to close our online shop and social channels on this day for 24 hours.

Everyone can do their part to make the world a bit more beautiful. Of particular interest to BERING is the Arctic region.

For the Arctic residents, such as the polar bear, it has become a challenge to survive in our world. Global warming, melting polar ice caps and environmental pollution have contributed to making the lives of these beautiful animals extremely difficult over the years.

At BERING, we are committed to protecting the beauty of nature and the habitat of the polar bears. One of the ways we do this is by donating the proceeds of our charity watch to Polar Bears International (PBI).

The beauty of the Arctic landscape has inspired BERING as a brand from the very beginning. It is a sincere and heartfelt mission of ours to support Polar Bears International non-profit organization. Their research, educational and action programs address most of the issues putting the polar bears in danger.

For every “Time to Care” limited edition watch sold, BERING donates $15 to PBI. Over $220,000 were donated to PBI since 2011, and as a result, their conservation efforts in the remote and challenging part of the world where polar bears live will be sustained.

We are very proud of the support we have provided over the years, and we will continue!
