(PRESS RELEASE) The Continental Buying Group (CBG) Fall show was originally scheduled for Las Vegas in June, 2020, but was rescheduled twice and set to take place in October 2020 in Orlando.
With the COVID Pandemic continuing around the country, CBG asked its’ members the likelihood of member attendance at the October in-person show.
The results were as follows:
30% confirmed as attending.; 70% would not feel comfortable attending a show.
Based on the member polling results, the decision was made to cancel the October 2020 Orlando CBG Show in favor of an online Virtual Show that will be held September 22-25.
The Continental Buying Group (CBG) said that it has been working with Bluestar to develop its’ own virtual platform for several months, because of the possibilities ownership of an online platform will offer to the CBG membership.
To ensure that the platform is extremely easy for our retailers to navigate, our members will have access to the platform prior to the Virtual Show.
The first CBG Virtual Show is scheduled for September 22-25, 2020. Considering the varying time zones of suppliers and retailers, CBG will be extending the show hours as well.
Nothing will ever take the place of in person interactions, but in consideration of everyone’s health and safety, it was imperative to invest in our own private virtual platform.
