(PRESS RELEASE) New York — CIRCA announces the launch of its newly formed Client Services Division, which offers fair market and liquidation appraisals to the owners of fine jewelry, watches, coins, and objet de vertu. The division will also oversee estate evaluations, including but not limited to, fine and decorative arts, antiques, silver and collectibles.

CIRCA has appointed Kenneth Jay Linsner, ASA and SCV, as the director of client services, overseeing all appraisal work, production, and regional events.

An appraiser since 1970, Linsner is currently a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and a senior certified valuer (SCV) of the International Institute of Valuers, Zurich. Linsner started his training at the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University and, upon graduating, refined his skills at the Brooklyn Museum. He has since lectured in “Appraisal Studies,” and developed the core course in “Research Methods for the Appraiser” at New York University.

Linsner is designated as a “Qualified Source” by the Department of Treasury of the United States and Office of the Attorney General, acting as an expert witness providing review and litigation support in many federal and civil cases involving artworks, their authenticity and value. In addition to a long and notable list of corporate clients, law firms, and private estates, Linsner is the director of Art Services International Group, which provides conservation and restoration services and advice to clients, public and private, around the globe, since 1975.

CIRCA’s president and co-founder, Richard Tilles, commented, “Ken comes to CIRCA with an impressive and established reputation, producing the highest quality appraisals. We believe his unique experience, will bring an enhanced level of service to CIRCA’s clients. One of Ken’s first initiatives will be hosting Appraisal events around the country, giving a wonderful opportunity to clients who have not previously had access to Ken’s capabilities and services.”
