De Beers has debuted its High Jewelry collection during the 2016 Paris Couture week.
Inspired by the winding course of the Thames River and the silhouettes of the surrounding city, the collection recalls a voyage through London, capturing five landmarks it passes in diamond form – Albert Bridge, Battersea Light, Elizabeth Tower, London Eye and the Thames Path.

The five sets showcase exceptional, fluid craftsmanship to reflect the water and the light through the beautiful combination of diamond cuts and skillful jewelry techniques,” says François Delage, CEO of De Beers Diamonds Jewelers.
De Beers worked with longstanding collaborator Mary McCartney to capture the spirit of London and the De Beers woman. McCartney explores the chosen landmarks, presenting them in five atmospheric yet intimate photographic diptychs, the double-exposure technique mirroring the craftsmanship of the diamonds.
Alongside the London by De Beers pieces, De Beers presented a selection of solitaire diamonds titled “1888 White Master Diamonds.” The diamonds were selected by the president of the De Beers Institute of Diamonds, with the collection showcasing rare “white” diamonds of more than 10 carats, including M to X color diamonds unique to De Beers, alongside more classical whites such as a 17.23 carat D Colour Pear pendant.
