Father-Son Jewelry Business Busted for Selling Stolen Goods from Notorious Burglar

The duo allegedly shared in the profit from home break-ins.

A father and son who run Chancellor Jewelers in Dallas, TX are alleged to have sold jewelry that was stolen by a man who has carried out a number of heists in the area, WFAA 8 reports. According to the TV station, 55-year-old Douglas Brandenburgh and his son Bryan are facing first-degree felony charges after allegedly sharing in the profits from stolen jewelry that they sold in their store. The indictment suggests that the Brandenburghs knew they were selling goods that had been stolen by Corey Lee Caldwell, a man known as the “night burglar” whom, on several occasions, executed his thefts after breaking through the back doors of people’s homes.
