How Dale Earnhardt Jr. Gets Around His Jewelry Phobia

The condition led to a business deal.

NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. is known to have kosmemophobia — an irrational fear of jewelry.

But when he married Amy Reimann on New Year’s Eve 2016, he had to find a way around the phobia in order to wear a wedding ring. NESN reports that Earnhardt recently discussed his fear on his “Dale Jr. Download” podcast.

Earnhardt can’t stand being around metal jewelry. He’s said in the past that he finds it “creepy.”

Earnhardt says, “I wear Qalo rings, which are like a rubber composite sort of material, and they’re very comfortable.”
