How to Wear 5 of The Best Jewels From the 2017 Oscars

Find accessible pieces with the same magic.

Ever year since the first time I watched the Oscars (which is basically when I learned to point and say “I want”) I always imagine what it would be like to own certain jewels when I see them shine on A-list actresses. After the thrill of seeing amazing jewels such as those on this year’s Academy Award’s red carpet, I then search for pieces that might give me a similar look and that will perk up my rather classic, uniform wardrobe.

If you are anything like me, here are some suggestions for five jewels as seen at the 89th Academy Awards and how you can find accessible pieces that will add the same element of magic to your jewelry collection and your personal style.

Emma Stone’s Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings in 18K yellow gold and platinum are just the right length and movement to transition into your spring/summer wardrobe and wear with feminine dresses or more casually with a tank top and jeans.

RETROUVAI channel swing drop earrings are linear with diamond accents and offer a similar effect.

Priyanka Chopka’s Lorraine Schwartz’s platinum and diamond cuffs, one worn on each wrist, are perfect when you can go sleeveless or wear three-quarter length sleeves with a sleek streamlined dress. Throw a lightweight leather jacket over the dress for a hipper, more distressed vibe.

For wide cuffs to wear on each wrist—these Elizabeth Garvin darkened silver and diamond cuffs with gray diamonds can work with various looks that work with the edgier looks.

Kirsten Dunst’s Niwaka delicate diamond collar necklace is feminine and thin enough that it won’t overpower or make too much of a statement with a cocktail dress in everything from black, white, metallic or a more vibrant color.

A delicate version you might try is this Kataoka floral garland diamond cluster necklace.

Isabel Huppert’s Repossi’s diamond ear climbers — these are on trend but classic enough to be worn for a long time to come and to be worn with anything in your wardrobe.

A great option would be Anita Ko’s diamond petal earrings.

Halle Berry’s stack of diamond bracelets were set with Forevermark diamonds, set in a mix of metals and designed by Jade Trau. These are the type of bangles to wear with a basic T-shirt or white shirt and jeans or a vintage sleeveless color-blocked dress.

To achieve a comparable look, why not go directly to the source — Jade Trau — for a mix of bangles and thin cuffs?
