Jeweler Refuses to Buy Customer’s Gold Necklace, Instead Just Gives Her the Money She Needs to Pay Bills

A feel-good story captured on security cameras.

An act of kindness from a Texas jewelry store employee was captured on the shop’s surveillance cameras when he decided to help a distraught customer, as CBS Dallas-Fort Worth writes. The article says that a woman walked into the store wanting to sell a gold necklace that her mother had given her, saying she needed the money to pay bills. Noticing tears in her eyes, the employee – whose name is Noah, but didn’t want his last name used in the news story – instead reached into his own pockets, gave her the money she needed and let her keep the necklace.

“I let her tell me how much she wanted to sell it and I gave her exactly what money she wanted,” Noah told the news outlet. “I didn’t think about it, I just grabbed the money. I grabbed the money and gave it to her.”
