Jewelry TV Reports Higher Sales, Continues HQ Expansion

It’s using an “omni-digital” approach.

Jewelry Television in Knoxville, TN, saw a 15.7 percent sales increase in 2016, growth that coincided with a major expansion of its headquarters, the Knoxville News Sentinel reports.

The growth follows JTV’s introduction of an “omni-digital” approach.

“We can interact with the customer on a mobile device, we’ve got a great app to do that,” said Tim Matthews, the company’s CEO. “On the website we’ve got a robust catalog of more than 100,000 items. We have television people can watch and become educated and entertained.”

Last year, the privately held firm saw its number of customers grow by nearly 12 percent, according to the News Sentinel.

One phase of the headquarters expansion, which included a new building along with other elements, including an additional floor in an existing structure, has been completed.

Two more phases of renovation and expansion are in the works.

One aspect of the next phase will be a 400-seat auditorium so that JTV’s broadcasts can have a live audience.

The company has 1,500 employees in Knoxville, and 1,700 in all.
