John Atencio to Open Concept Boutique at PearlWest, Boulder

(Press Release)
BOULDER, Colo.– John Atencio, Colorado jewelry designer, artist and entrepreneur, will introduce a concept boutique at PearlWest in Boulder in summer 2016. His seventh jewelry boutique in Colorado, the John Atencio Gallery will occupy 1,350 square feet of prime retail space.

“When I first got started as a jewelry artist in 1973, I sold my designs on the Hill at Pat Peterson’s in Boulder,” Atencio said. “It is my great privilege to bring my original wearable jewelry art back to a city so close to my heart.”

This prototype for future JA jewelry gallery boutiques will reflect Boulder’s lifestyle and sense of community. It was designed by architect Semple Brown Design in Denver. In addition to the distinctive footprint, the new jewelry gallery will feature John Atencio’s Signature Collection and a new line of watches. The gallery will be managed by Shelly Getty, a Boulderite for more than 25 years and a seven-year associate with the John Atencio brand.

“The unique elements of the new John Atencio Gallery are a perfect fit for our collection of tenants at PearlWest,” said Lynda Gibbons of Gibbons-White Inc., one of the developers of the site, along with The Nichols Partnership. “He joins an exceptional group of office tenants, including Crestone Capital Advisors LLC, SolidFire and Galvanize at our LEED Platinum building, and a strong lineup of retailers including Alpine Modern, Eureka! Restaurant Group, and others to be announced soon.”

PearlWest is a four-story commercial office and retail building featuring a rooftop restaurant and public plazas both on the rooftop and at the pedestrian connector on Pearl Street. There is space dedicated for an art film theatre, over 127,000 square feet of commercial office space, 30,000 square feet of retail space, views of the Boulder Flatirons, and a high-tech, automated robotic parking system. Construction began in May 2014 and is scheduled for completion in spring 2016.
