Michael Phelps’ Engagement Ring Represents a “Pool of Love”

Record-setting Olympic swimmer’s wife is also a GIA-trained jewelry professional

Swimming sensation Michael Phelps is back in the water at the Rio Olympics, and an Earn the Necklace article about his wife Nicole Johnson features a flashback to the couple’s 2015 engagement, and to Johnson’s ring. The article links to her Instagram post about it: “The center is a pool representing our pool of love and each side stone is shaped like rain drops that continue to fill our pool.” The former Miss California USA, an accredited jewelry professional through the Gemological Institute of America, thanked INTA Gems & Diamonds for the design.
