(PRESS RELEASE) The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) announces the expansion of Kate Donovan’s role within the organization; assuming the responsibilities of AGA Executive Director. Building on her strong performance as the Marketing Director and brilliance behind AGA’s international growth campaign, Donovan will be taking over administration of the organization from Jan Giamanco who is retiring after serving in the position for over 2 decades. Donovan will continue to work directly with the association’s board of governors, coordinating and managing AGA’s front office while implementing an ambitious agenda concentrated on global membership growth, enhanced member benefits, and increased brand awareness.
AGA president Teri Brossmer said, “Kate is a familiar face to many of our members through her tenure as the Global Alumni Manager for GIA and her involvement in the gem and mineral world. Kate’s marketing genius, industry connections, and impeccable reputation will serve AGA well and we are lucky to have her.” Donovan will continue as marketing director while serving as executive director of AGA.
