Katerina Tannenbaum Wears a Jemma Wynne Pendant in And Just Like That

ZODIAC PENDANTS HAVE been trending for some time due to the ongoing popularity of celestial motifs, the ever-evolving personalization trend and the fact that zodiac jewelry was around and reinterpreted by renowned brands during the mid to later 20th century. Many smaller companies play off the vintage styles of Cartier and other legendary brands, while some of today’s most creative jewelers reinvigorate zodiac pendants with a contemporary attitude. And with many of today’s trends turning up on the characters in the first 10 episodes of And Just Like That, the reboot of Sex and the City, the zodiac was bound to make an appearance.

For background: Katerina Tannenbaum is Carrie’s downstairs neighbor who is around the same age that Carrie was when the original SATC’s first season aired. The neighbor, Lisette, makes Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) feel old and uncool at first. But then Lisette wants Carrie to wear and post a particular design on Instagram. If that sounds familiar, it is because Lisette is a jewelry designer, and it is one of her rings that she gives Carrie to wear. The ring used for the scene is from Pacharee. But that’s not where the zodiac comes into play.

Now that you know the story line: In episode 8, Lisette wears a Jemma Wynne large gold and diamond Libra pendant and layers it with other necklaces. She has a tumultuous relationship with her boyfriend and in the scene apologizes to Carrie for being loud and partying and keeping Carrie up all night. Lisette’s style is both on trend and realistic.

Jemma Wynne’s zodiacs pendants are made to order and come in small and large sizes.

Other designers who create zodiac pendants (and other categories of jewelry) that you might want to check out include Briony Raymond, Emily Hirsh for Talon, Anita Ko and Jade Trau. See our gallery on astrological jewelry here.

And now that the 10 episodes of And Just Like That are done for the season, what other TV shows or miniseries will have jewelry to read about? I can think of a few and will cover them in upcoming posts. Stay tuned.
