Italian jewelry designer Marco Bicego has unveiled his 2016 ad campaign.

Shot in the heart of Venice at the Palazzo Querini Stampalia, Marco was inspired by the history and architecture of the Palazzo, which houses famous paintings and drawings by notable Italian artists.

The venue laid the inspiration and groundwork behind the mood of the campaign, which, according to a press release, “aims to highlight the contemporary allure and sophisticated, yet edgy Marco Bicego woman.”

The inaugural image, which celebrates Marco’s newest collection, Masai, features Estonian fashion model Karmen Pedaru shot by Korean photographer Hong Jang Hyun, who has shot for international editorial houses such as Numero’, Vogue Italia, W Magazine and Harper’s Bazaar, among others.

The Masai collection was inspired by the ornaments typical of the African Masai tribe, with each piece crafted in 18-karat gold hand-coiled strands and featuring pronounced stations of pave diamonds. The organically shaped and layered styles carefully adapt to the curves of the body, allowing styles to be worn alone or stacked.
