New De Beers CEO: Diamond Industry Must Collaborate to Overcome Challenges

New De Beers CEO Bruce Cleaver called for industry collaboration to address the diamond sector’s challenges in a recent blog post that was his first public statement since taking the helm, Rapaport writes. Cleaver, according to the article, wrote that “Partnerships have secured our past successes. Partnerships are the cornerstone of the business. And partnerships will define our future.” He added that the industry must be willing to change, noting that volatility in the global economy has become the “new normal.”
