Pyrrha Achieves Certification from The Responsible Jewellery Council

(PRESS RELEASE) Just in time for Earth Day, sustainable jewelry company Pyrrha achieves The Responsible Jewellery Council‘s (RJC) three-year Code of Practices certification.

RJC is the world’s leading standard-setting organization for the jewelry industry: as a member, Pyrrha helps to transform supply chains to be more responsible and sustainable. The RJC code of conduct covers all the metals used in jewelry manufacturing as well as colored gemstones. Pyrrha has been a member of the RJC since 2021 and spent the last two years undertaking their comprehensive assessment.

While there are upwards of 1200 certified members of the RJC, Pyrrha is one of only eight Canadian companies with the designation.

“This is a remarkable achievement in their sustainability journey. It is a road map of continuous improvement in partnership with all the stakeholders in the value chain. So, we would really like to thank Pyrrha for their leadership and your commitment to the RJC,” says Alejandro Molina of RJC.

RJC is one of many sustainability certifications the company holds, including their recently achieved Butterfly Mark from Positive Luxury, their 1% for the Planet status and their B Corp certification.

About The Responsible Jewellery Council

RJC is the global membership and standards body for responsible jewelry throughout the entire supply chain – from mine to retail. Their ‘Code of Practice’ references key development frameworks, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO Principles and UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
