Rembrandt Charms Hires Chief Operating Officer

Michael Metzger

(PRESS RELEASE) Buffalo, NY – Rembrandt Charms Ltd. (RembrandtCharms.com) welcomed Michael Metzger to their company on April 10th, 2017 to further support the growing brand. Michael, a US Navy veteran, comes with tremendous experience in brand and business leadership. He spent 20 years at Nikon, developing solid strategic planning skills on a multinational level; and additional time as president of Quality Vision Services, Inc. where he was instrumental in developing relationships with customers, strengthening company operations and improving quality in manufacturing.

Says Eric Lux, Vice President, Rembrandt Charms: “As the chief operating officer, Michael’s focus will be on providing exceptional business service to our retailers, while continuing to move the brand forward, in Rembrandt Charms’ commitment to being a leader in the charm industry. As the demand for the classic charm bracelet continues to increase, Michael’s main objectives will be to oversee day to day operations and strategic planning.”

In November, 2016, Rembrandt Charms also appointed Kimberly (Kim) Burzynski as their sales and marketing manager. Burzynski comes with experience in retail, having spent the last eight years at New Era Cap, Inc. where she was instrumental in supporting key accounts, building relationships with customers and stakeholders, while providing top-rated marketing.

Rembrandt Charms believes that the increase in demand is related to the shift in the marketplace with thousands of retail jewelers transitioning their customers back into classic charm bracelets. “In 2016, over 1,000 retail jewelers in North America parted ways with glass bead programs,” said Eric Lux. “Charms, on the other hand, have always been a consistent seller, dating back as far as 600 B.C. This holds true today, customers want affordable jewelry that they can collect, personalize, and that a holds special meaning. We are experiencing a dramatic increase from recent years as new and existing customers are investing in a Rembrandt Charm Business Building Charm Program, or refreshing their existing charm program.”

In 2016, Rembrandt Charms created an in-house merchandising team that works with  account representatives to identify opportunities to refresh and strengthen existing charm programs. “Each customer that we have served through this approach has continued to increase their sales since the date we partnered with them on their charm program,” states Kim Burzynski.
