Bob Spragins, Jewelry Industry Sales Representative, Has Died

(PRESS RELEASE) Robert “Bob” Spragins passed away Jan. 22, 2023, in Plano, TX, surrounded by his wife, Linda, children and grandchildren.

Spragins was a sales representative and sales manager for the jewelry industry for over 40 years. He started his jewelry career in the accounting office of Stuckey Diamonds. He soon realized that sales representative had more potential than working in the office. He went to work for Everwed Jewelry as a sales rep.

He started his own company, Lone Star Diamond Inc.,  in 1982. He ran it successfully for over 10 years before deciding to scale back his scope of work and “just” be a sales representative for other companies. Spragins represented many companies as a sales representative and/or sales manager including Stuckey Diamonds, Lovebright Diamonds, Dynamic Designs and ASHI Diamonds. His passion in business was selling and developing relationships with his customers.

He believed that to be a success you should be honest, fulfill your promises and maintain good communication with your customers and the companies he represented. He always went above and beyond what was required of him. He was a happy “workaholic.” He was always eager to share his knowledge with others, but he was always seeking more knowledge of the industry for himself. He developed many friendships within the industry, and he treasured each one.

Spragins was also a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1959-1962 reaching the rank of SP5 E5. He credited the Army with giving him structure and developing his work ethic.

Spragins is survived by his loving wife, Linda, who he treated as an equal and with respect as he did the women he worked with. He is also survived by 4 children, Kim Willis, Robert Spragins II, Kyle Spragins and Kelli Spragins. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Reese and Max Spragins who loved their “Papa” dearly.
