Small-Town Jeweler Looks to Sell Store, Move Business to D.C.

“Everybody gets to a point where it’s time,” owner says.

After spending the last six years in downtown Fayetteville, NC, Michael Rayburn has put his Twisted Jeweler store up for sale in order to move his business to Washington, D.C, the Fayetteville Observer reports. Speaking with the news outlet, he cites the increased opportunities the D.C. area affords for his family’s various pursuits, saying that he probably won’t open another physical location and instead just sell online and at jewelry shows. “We enjoy Fayetteville. We really do. It’s been great to us. But everybody gets to a point where it’s time,” he says.
