Stun Gun and Pepper Spray Used in Phoeniz Jewelry Robbery

Suspects used a stun gun and pepper spray on employees during a jewelry robbery in Phoenix, police said.

At 5 p.m. on May 12, three suspects went into a pawn shop and acted like customers, according to the Jewelers’ Security Alliance. They smashed a showcase and took jewelry merchandise.

One suspect was apprehended, but two others remain at large.

The Silent Witness non-profit program reports that the store was Pawn 1st near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

The jewelry that was taken was valued at “several thousand dollars,” Silent Witness reports.
