Diamonds continue to rule the red carpet in the second live event of the month. They showed up in every incarnation at the Met Gala and they came out to twinkle among the stars at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards. During the summer months we also saw them make a strong showing at both The Cannes and Venice Film Festivals. When colored stones have been mixed in, they’ve been emeralds or rubies. The spotlight was on necklaces, from collars to long diamonds by the yard dripping down the back, which added to the glamour of the evening while awe-inspiring chandelier and long drop earrings ran a close second. Bracelets and rings sparkled aplenty as well.
