Thieves Cut Through Wall, Take $500,000 in Jewelry

Thieves cut through a wall to enter a jewelry store in Salado, TX, and take $500,000 of merchandise.

Two suspects cracked the safe during the burglary at Salado Creek Jewelers, KWTX-TV reports. The crime occurred early Sunday.

The suspects also took a handgun from the safe, according to the news report.

KXXV-TV reports that the suspects wore masks and gloves.

Fox 44 News reports that the two men are believed to have “dug through an outside wall of the store in the 100 block of North Main and into the safe early Sunday morning.” That’s suspected to have happened between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

A description of the suspects is not yet available.
