(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) announced its open call for board positions for its 2023 International Board of Directors.
For nearly forty years, WJA has provided a platform for women and professionals in the jewelry and watch industry to network, collaborate and mentor each other. The organization is in search of energetic, community-driven, and strategic thinkers who will join the 2023 board and help create impactful programming for the industry.
“WJA is committed to transparency, inclusivity and community. Our organization deeply values diversity and welcomes professionals, entrepreneurs and consultants from all backgrounds. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for board seats,” shares WJA Executive Director, Jennifer Markas. Men are also welcome to serve on the board.
WJA is in the midst of executing its five-year strategic plan focused on diversifying its membership and elevating its programming with innovative partnerships and forward-looking content aimed at meeting the ever-changing needs of the jewelry and watch industry. WJA offers many opportunities to volunteer, including on the following board committees: sponsorship, communications, mentorship, membership, event planning, diversity and more. The board meets quarterly and provides the ability to network, exercise leadership skills and work creatively with peers in the industry.
