Woman Shot to Death in Mississippi Jewelry Store Robbery

A woman was shot to death in a jewelry store robbery in Indianola, Mississippi.

The crime occurred at about 11 a.m. Friday, WAPT-TV reports. Two suspects left with jewelry and remain at large.

The crime occurred at Paul’s Jewelry, the Tocsin-Enterprise reports.

The business is family-owned, and the woman who was shot was the only person working there at the time, according to WAPT.

WLBT-TV reports that the woman killed was Jamie Iverson, an owner of the store. She died after being rushed to the hospital.

Iverson owned the store with her husband, Rodney.
