Not to worry: IJO is careful to space its members carefully, taking region and population into consideration. IJO jewelers are given exclusive territory with an average distance between stores of 12 to 20 miles depending upon location. IJO takes each area’s population into consideration as well as the number of competitors and the size of the media market when determining a territory. Jewelers are protected for as long as they remain IJO members, and protection is not based on a minimum amount of purchases through the group.
