(PRESS RELEASE) SOMERSET, NJ — Venus Jewelers is closing its doors after 45 years and relocating to a new location. Before moving, Venus Jewelers is hosting a Store Closing Liquidation Sale with savings of up to 70% off storewide to liquidate all diamond, gemstone, gold, and estate jewelry. Everything must go before moving to its new location.

The move to the new store, which is located just steps away in the same shopping center, marks a huge milestone since founder, the late George Stavrianidis opened Venus Jewelers in 1979. Now run by his children, Dr. Peter Stavrianidis and Dora Fount, and his grandson, Jason Stavrianidis, Venus Jewelers has grown from its modest roots into NJ’s highest rated jeweler. It is known as an engagement ring and fine jewelry destination as much as it is for being deeply involved in the community as a generous supporter of the arts and charitable causes.

Venus Jewelers channeled its vision for a unique concept store through an award-winning jewelry boutique designer. The outcome will be a thoughtfully designed much larger space, with a focus on redefining the traditional jewelry shopping experience. Some of the highlights include a dedicated bridal boutique that promotes the Venus Jewelers signature hands-on educational approach, a state-of-the-art custom design and repair shop, and a modern lounge area anchored by a coffee and wine bar.

“Our goal is to redefine the experience of buying engagement rings and jewelry,” said Jason Stavrianidis. “The move will allow us to create a unique experience for clients, an experience that focuses on celebration, education, and the entire journey, not just the jewelry.”

She Wanted to Spend More Time with Her Kids. She Called Wilkerson.

Your children are precious. More precious than gold? Absolutely! Just ask Lesley Ann Davis, owner of Lesley Ann Jewels, an independent jewelry store that — until the end of 2023 — had quite a following in Houston, Texas. To spend more time with her four sons, all in high school, she decided to close her store. Luckily, she was familiar with Wilkerson and called them as soon as she knew she wanted to move on to bigger, better and more family-focused things. Was she happy with her decision? Yes, she was. Says Davis, “Any owner looking to make that life change, looking to retire, looking to close, looking for a pause in their career, I would recommend Wilkerson. Hands down!”
