The years-long remake of Tiffany & Co.’s iconic store at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York is drawing to a close, with a grand reopening slated in about a month, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

The job began in 2019 under Tiffany’s previous executive management team and came under the supervision of LVMH Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy when that luxury group acquired the brand in 2021. The overhaul includes an interior architecture design led by Peter Marino and a three-story glass addition by OMA partner Shohei Shigematsu, both done in partnership with Tiffany’s in-house team.

Sources told WWD that Tiffany is changing the historic location’s name from “flagship” to “The Landmark” to create a distinction between that specific location and a roster of important global stores in such key cities as Tokyo and Los Angeles.

The fashion newspaper said Tiffany is expected to email invitations to industry insiders this week for a grand-opening event at “The Landmark” on the evening of April 27, with the store opening to the public during normal business hours the following day.

She Wanted to Spend More Time with Her Kids. She Called Wilkerson.

Your children are precious. More precious than gold? Absolutely! Just ask Lesley Ann Davis, owner of Lesley Ann Jewels, an independent jewelry store that — until the end of 2023 — had quite a following in Houston, Texas. To spend more time with her four sons, all in high school, she decided to close her store. Luckily, she was familiar with Wilkerson and called them as soon as she knew she wanted to move on to bigger, better and more family-focused things. Was she happy with her decision? Yes, she was. Says Davis, “Any owner looking to make that life change, looking to retire, looking to close, looking for a pause in their career, I would recommend Wilkerson. Hands down!”
