AGTA Provides Free Educational Seminars

(PRESS RELEASE) DALLAS, TX – The American Gem Trade Association(AGTA) announced the AGTA GemFair Tucson Seminar Series will now be available for free on the AGTA website. Seminars from 2018, 2019 and 2020 are ready for viewing now, with almost 80 educational classes from which to choose. While the seminars are free to attend in person at AGTA GemFair, post-show access was previously limited to a purchased flash drive, or as an exclusive AGTA membership benefit.

“AGTA has been working diligently to find ways to help our members, and the industry, navigate these unchartered waters,” said Douglas K. Hucker, AGTA CEO. “One of the most valuable tools we offer is education, and as seen at our Tucson show in person, our seminar series is one of the most impactful parts of GemFair. We felt like this was another way we can be of service to our industry.”

The AGTA GemFair Tucson Seminar Series offers discussions from how to sell colored gemstones and cultured pearls; the latest in gemology news from world-renowned laboratories; promotion and marketing tips from top experts in the business; key-training techniques for sales and service staff, among many others. Seminars are accessible here.

In addition to the free educational seminars, AGTA has developed an extensive Marketing During COVID-19 series that focuses on helping companies strengthen their online business and social media footprint. The Association is also developing a webinar series with additional educational opportunities.
