Carla Bruni Is a Vision of Beauty in Colorful, Intricately Designed Jewels

WE SAW MANY diamond stunners during the 2023 Venice International Film Festival and the events around it, but colorful, intricately designed jewels stole the spotlight. Such was the case with Carla Bruni in Chopard at the AmFar Gala Vezenzia. Her jewels evoked the stained glass windows of cathedrals and the mosaics found on the most beautiful duomos in Italy. The details and colors were sublime, and her earrings, bracelet and ring were a treat to see in a sea of white-on-white jewels.

The color mixing in her statement earrings was the result of different cuts of stones and enamel that all fit together to incorporate floral and foliate designs in a palette of blues, pinks and yellows that ranged from pastels to vivid hues. Her bracelet was wide and flexible and mixed diamond with deep pink stones that suggested a tile pattern. Her ring — simpler in design but still ablaze with color in rich velvety yellow and blue — finished off the effect.
