True Tales

Give Me Sapphire or Give Me Death, Said This Customer’s Wife

A man walked into the showroom last spring. My sales associate, Rachael, greeted him and asked how he was doing. He responded: “Terrible!” Taken aback, Rachael pressed forward and tried to connect and figure out what she could do to help this poor guy. He went on to say that his wife believed she must have a Montana Yogo sapphire for St. Patrick’s Day: “She is under the impression that if she doesn’t get one, she’ll keel over and die.” — Jennifer Hornik Johnson, Miller’s Jewelry, Bozeman, MT
