Jocalio Hires New VP for Business Development

Albee Schimanski

(PRESS RELEASE) Jocalio, a revolutionary jewelry supplier with unique data-marketing capabilities, announced the appointment of Albee Schimanski as the company’s vice president, business development. Schimanski brings over 15 years of proven sales growth and retail partnership expertise to his new role and will oversee Jocalio’s retailer sales, training, and merchandising functions.

Since 2017, Jocalio’s exponential growth has been driven by its mission to empower independent retailers to thrive in our data-centric world. By leveraging its unparalleled big data capabilities, Jocalio helps its partner retailers in three key ways. Firstly, through its data-marketing program, Jocalio engages with potential jewelry buyers and drives them in-store. Secondly, Jocalio utilizes the same data resources to create jewelry collections based on what consumers are looking for and want to buy. Thirdly, Jocalio’s data-marketing and jewelry production know-how are designed to amplify and reinforce the retailer’s brand – the ultimate differentiator in a competitive landscape.

“We are very excited to have Albee join our leadership team, bringing an impressive track record of successful retailer partnerships, deep industry experience, and a proven capacity to build and manage teams in a high-growth environment,” said Val Katayev, Jocalio’s CEO and founder. “During these unprecedented times, Jocalio’s data-driven marketing and jewelry capabilities are more important than ever to help retailers thrive. Albee is ideally positioned to share Jocalio’s growth story with independent retailers and help retailer partners achieve what we like to call data-driven success”

Schimanski joins Jocalio after spending 12 years in a variety of senior roles at CTFNA/Hearts On Fire, most recently as Vice President, Trade Strategy (CTFNA), bringing together sales, marketing, and communications to deliver exceptional client focus and service to CTFNA/Hearts On Fire retailers. Schimanski responsibilities also included managing direct relationships with retailers throughout North America, LATAM and Caribbean, and overseeing sales, retailer training, in-store branding, and reward programs.

“The most rewarding takeaway from the last 12 years in the industry is developing incredibly successful partnerships, based on establishing deep and meaningful relationships with independent retailers,” said Schimanski. “At Jocalio, I have a unique opportunity to continue that work, by helping retailers build their most unique asset: their own brand. Jocalio operates a highly successful business model that focuses on capturing audiences, driving them in-store, and delivering the right product (in aesthetics and price) to set up a partner retailer for long-term success.
