LUPITA NYONG’O HAS been a trendsetting actress for jewelry since she walked the red carpet in Fred Leighton’s diamond headband and totem pinky ring at the Academy Awards in 2014 when she was the recipient of the Oscar for 12 Years a Slave. Graceful and elegant, she became a fashion figure for young women to emulate. For the 2022 Gotham Awards, Nyong’o shone in De Beers high jewelry from her lobes to her fingers. She wore smaller Alchemist of Light diamond drop earrings that complemented the necklaces and a De Beers Adonis Rose Pear Ring of 3.52 total carat weight that was the finishing touch.
She was her own ray of light, and the beauty of the diamond jewels was an accent to her radiance.
