Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox Get Engaged with a Stephen Webster Ring

WHEN YOU GO to Stephen Webster for your engagement ring, you get more than just a piece that represents your relationship. You’ll likely end up with a one-of-a-kind design that is set with spectacular stones and has the Stephen Webster flair for old world goldsmithing with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. So it’s not surprising that Machine Gun Kelly chose Webster to design the ring with which he proposed to actress Megan Fox. Webster told

INSTORE: “The design features two interlocking thorn bands, each side holding one of the two perfectly shaped pear-shaped gems. Created in 18K white gold, pavé set with colorless natural diamonds. The diamond is a D color antique cut and the emerald an extraordinary completely untreated Colombian gem.” Webster worked with Machine Gun Kelly (real name: Colson Baker) on a ring inspired by the musician’s special connection with Fox.

The style is an edgier take on a toi et moi (“you and me”) ring that was popular throughout antique times and has become a trend again in engagement rings with different cuts and colors of stones. So due to my love for antique and toi et moi rings, diamond and emerald mixes, and any design that is an unconventional spin on a heart, this ring had me at hello. The fact that it was designed by Webster, an uber-talented London-based jeweler who is a star in his own right, just makes it all the more fun to write about.

The couple shared the ring and its details on their separate Instagram accounts: Machine Gun Kelly shares a video of Fox wearing the ring and talked about the two stones — the emerald being Fox’s birthstone and the diamond being his. He also added a little romance when he wrote about the stones being “set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming. The obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”

Fox also showed a video of the proposal and talked about all they have been through together over the past year. The couple met in 2020 while filming the movie Midnight in The Switchgrass and have been together since.
