My Cousin Paraiba Gets The Glory, But My Deep Arctic Blue Is Still Beautiful

LET ME SHOW you a photo from our last family reunion. There’s my cousin rubellite, and there is verdelite. Way down at the end, the colorless one, is achroite. Paraiba didn’t show up — he was too busy generating ridiculous prices at some auction. And that’s me in the middle, the blue one. I wasn’t really at my best that day — the boat trip from Brazil had left me feeling a little green. At my peak, I’m a glorious deep Arctic blue. Rare, but reasonably priced.
