True Tales

Sales Associate Never Should Have Asked Client’s Wife THAT!

LOYAL CUSTOMER, Mr. Cheatam, comes into store at Christmas to buy a large pair of diamond stud earrings. Sales associate Betty, who knows him and his wife well, sells him large diamond earrings. A week later, Mr. Cheatam’s wife comes into store for a repair. Betty asks Mrs. Cheatam how she liked the diamond earrings. Oops! Wrong thing to say. Moral of the story: Jewelers are like doctors. Privacy is the golden rule. (And yes, they did get a divorce.) — Greg R.; Prescott, AZ
