Partners Update Traditional Virginia Jewelry Store With Fun And Inclusion

When Ronnie Adolf, second-generation owner of Adolf Jewelers in Richmond, VA, decided to retire after 57 years, his daughter Robin Salzberg and longtime Adolf associate Daniel Wright decided to continue the Adolf legacy, with a twist. They opened Adolf 2.0 in 2018 and called it Lustre by Adolf. “At the original Adolf’s, the staff wore tuxedos for the Christmas Eve party,” Daniel says. “But here at Lustre, we’re a bit more relaxed. We’re a mixed religion store, and we decided we’re going to have a little fun.” In off hours, Daniel, a pilot, says flying is the most relaxing thing he can do. Robin loves to travel; her favorite destination is Aruba.
