Designers are bringing platinum back to the fore in fine jewelry. Aside from the bridal category, the last time we saw platinum in myriad creative styles from independent jewelry designers was in the late ’90s. Whether it’s the fluctuating yet high price of gold or the fact that the steely white metal has been gracing the red carpet more than ever, it’s making a return in everything, including earrings, chokers, statement necklaces and cocktail rings set with diamonds or precious gems. Platinum Guild International has worked with a talented group of designers on styles that will be showing in the Couture Platinum Spotlight Program.
