Sales Skyrocket for Mexican Immigrant Jeweler After Wooing Investors on ‘Shark Tank’

Kim Kardashian was a fan before his success on the reality show.

Aldo Orta’s designs had already found their way into the jewelry boxes of Kim Kardashian, Elizabeth Taylor and other Hollywood stars, but his career took another step forward after an appearance on ABC reality show “Shark Tank,” writes Forbes. The article explains that when he appeared on the show seeking funding to launch a mass-market jewelry line, he attracted sizeable bids from two of the “shark” investors, ultimately scoring a deal that allowed him to control 100 percent of his business. Since securing the investment, his sales have tripled, and he’s in the process of developing two new collections that are set to launch next year.
