Secure, Responsible Facebook Commenting

At The SMART Show, a jeweler told me that she was hesitant to comment on stories on our redesigned website because of our Facebook-linked commenting system. Anyway, I assured her that you could easily control what information posted on our site appears on your personal or store Facebook page. Which prompted me to create a short tutorial video showing you how quickly and easily you can control how your Facebook identity interacts with our site.

Go ahead. Give it a try.

(By the way, even if you forget to take the simple steps documented in this video and you make a mistake, it’s very easy to go to your Wall or Timeline and simply delete any posts you don’t want to appear.)

We think our current system provides the best of both worlds — an environment that’s mostly private to the industry, yet one where people’s identities are genuine, ensuring more responsible behavior.
