After 2022’s broadcast hiatus, the Golden Globes returned to the Beverly Hilton with a red carpet filled with star power and shimmering diamond jewels. While there was a smattering of other gems, diamonds ruled the 80th edition of the awards presentation in everything from statement necklaces to long earrings to bracelets worn on both wrists, which I am calling the trend to watch. There were single bracelets as well, and all were glittering with possibilities for women to imitate the look.

Laverne Cox, who hosted E!’s live coverage of the event, evoked old Hollywood glamour in her blue John Galliano spring 2007 gown and antique, vintage and modern fred leighton and kwiat jewels in platinum.

Jenna Ortega toned down her goth girl image for a more elegantly daring Gucci gown. Her layered Tiffany & Co. diamond necklaces, including varying styles, cuts and settings, imbued the look with a feminine touch and textural interest.

Margot Robbie is always a darling of the red carpet. She has worn iconic pieces such as a Van Cleef & Arpels zip necklace and a Bulgari Serpentini number. The Chanel gown was awe-inspiring, and to accent it she wore a Chanel high jewelry diamond star brooch. The look was pure perfection.

Lily James was a vision in red, and the look was set off by pieces from Harry Winston‘s Sunflower Collection including diamond and platinum earrings, choker and rings (not shown). At times, this type of look might come off as too matchy, but on James, it was youthful and added just enough sparkle.

Anya Taylor-Joy wore a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger necklace, earrings and bracelets with Tiffany T1 rings, all in platinum and gold. The bracelets, one on each wrist, were the most intriguing part of the look. It was a look also worn by Jamie Lee Curtis at the event, and a trend in the making.

Angela Bassett twinkled in a silvery gown and upped the shine quotient with Chopard diamond front-facing earrings and a wide diamond cuff.

Michelle Yeoh dazzled in a diamond necklace, rings and a wide diamond bracelet. She is always dressed to stand out and jeweled in megawatt bling, but she pulls it off with a sense of easy elegance and star quality.

Letitia Wright can turn timeless Bulgari diamonds into a chic statement of cool-girl style. She did it at the Globes with Bulgari’s diamond Heritage earrings and a high jewelry diamond ring.

Julia Garner wore the necklace of the evening, one that could be translated easily into your jewelry collection. De Beers had created the Swan Lake Diamond Necklace set in 18K white gold with 23.95 total carat weight of various cuts of diamonds in a classic Y shape. She also wore a mix of De Beers collection earrings and rings.

The neckline of Selena Gomez’s gown might have warranted a necklace, but the De Beers Platinum Aden Diamond Earrings and two styles of rings were enough to finish off her red carpet look.
