The ear party continues to evolve on the red carpet and in the jewelry design studios. When the earring renaissance first took hold around five to six years ago, no one in the industry expected it to keep reviving styles from the past and push the boundaries of modern interpretations so much so that women of all ages were getting new piercings in their lobes to mix and match the creativity designers were offering in studs, drops, climbers, cuffs and for different areas of the ear. The piercing events continue but it is the statement earrings: multiple linear looks, large on the ear styles, antique and antique inspired chandelier and a range of different incarnations of drops and pendant earrings that are shimmering in the jewelry spotlight.
Here we show a variety of styles from renowned house on celebrities at red carpet events and film premieres and how indie designers are interpreting them. We also show those on celebs from the new guard of designers and the different slants that each takes when approaching the important trends.
