RIHANNA ARRIVED LATE once again after the show had started, much like when she arrived at the 2023 Golden Globes. However, this time, they were still shooting on the red carpet, and she wasn’t trying to slip in quietly during a presentation (which, as we saw at the Globes, is impossible for her and A$AP). But let’s get back to the jewels. If anyone could rock three different looks equally, it’s Riri.
On the “carpet,” she wore Moussaieff jewels with her custom Alaïa sheer and leather peek-a-boo gown. These included orange/brown natural color diamond drop earring, an orange/brown diamond ring and a darker brown diamond ring.

During her performance of Lift Me Up — which was nominated for best song from Wakanda Forever — she wore enough De Beers diamonds to light up the entire stage. The pieces included four different style diamond earrings climbing up her ears, three diamond necklaces layered, a jaw dropping wide diamond cuff and a diamond cocktail ring. Her diamonds almost rivaled the amount of faux pieces Marilyn Monroe wore as Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes when she sang Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.

She changed one more time at the awards into a Bottega Veneta mint green shearling stole, matching skirt, gloves and shoes, Verdura emerald and diamond stardust on-the-lobe earrings and a bracelet customized into a diamond anklet from Briony Raymond, which was perhaps my favorite jewel of all that Rihanna wore. Perhaps because it was unexpected, which is one of the aspects that the superstar has become known for: the element of surprise in her jewelry style.
