Key to sellingWHY IT’S TRUE: We have all seen pieces of jewelry that were without a doubt ugly. We have also seen our customers wearing ugly jewelry. How could they dare to wear something like that? I’ve heard salespeople say, ?I’d like to compliment her jewelry but, if it’s ugly, I won’t say anything.? Do you honestly think that people would wear jewelry they feel is ugly? Regardless of what it looks like to you, in the eye of the beholder it looks beautiful. 
 
 
 
PLAN OF ACTION: The true sales professional never misses an opportunity to compliment someone. If you can’t use the word beautiful, try ?unique,? ?interesting? or ?different,? followed by the words, ?Could I take a closer look at it?? Be a real pro and use ?beautiful.? Maybe that’s not your opinion but, it certainly does validate hers.
