Zales Store Loses Woman’s Wedding Ring, Then Gives Curious Explanation

The ring was later found, but the jeweler wouldn’t give it back right away.

A woman who had her wedding ring repaired by a Zales store in Denver got a scare when the ring went missing for a few days, KDVR reports. The TV station says that when Megan Storhaug went to pick up her ring, she was mistakenly given someone else’s, and then a salesman told her that the third-party contractor the store uses to perform the repairs had lost the ring. The jeweler later called Storhaug on a Monday to tell her that it had been found, but that she couldn’t pick it up until Wednesday. When a reporter from the station called Zales to find out why, the store refused to say.

Apparently this isn’t an isolated mishap for the company, as the video report below mentions that a Google search turns up numerous Zales customers nationwide who have had their rings lost.
